Foundation University Library
The Foundation University Library, formerly known as the Foundation College Library, began its operation and services in 1949, the year the University was founded by Dr. Vicente Guzman Sinco. With books and other library materials available to serve a population of 200 students, the Foundation College Library occupied a space from rented quarters of a building presently occupied by Chow King, located at former Calle Alfonso XIII Street, now Governor Mariano Perdices Street in Dumaguete City.In 1969, the Library finally found its home in the magnificently structured three-story edifice located in the eastern portion of the Main campus.
From this humble beginning, the library’s collection continues to increase steadily alongside with the student enrollees.
