The Dean of the College of Criminology gained a distinct recognition for his paper presentation at the 3rd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research in Higher Education (ICMRHE 2019) held September 26 to 28 at Palacio del Sur, Zamboanga City.

 

Bimboy Cueno was awarded Best in Oral Presentation under the Social Sciences Strand for his study on “Workplace Bullying Victimization among Filipino Faculty and Staff: The Role of the Filipino Self.”

 

The said study described textural and structural components of Filipino faculty and staff’s lived experiences pertaining to the issue of workplace bullying. Furthermore, the paper delved deeper into how the Filipino self is implicated in bullying victimization at a university located in the central part of the country.

 

Themed, “Pursuing Excellence in the 4th Industrial Revolution through Production, Innovation, Instruction, Extension, and Research,” the international conference was participated by various educational institutions and organizations in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.

 

Hosted by the Universidad de Zamboanga, the 3rd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research in Higher Education was aimed to establish research culture through exchange of best practices among educational institutions; to disseminate research outcomes for further utilization and publication; and to advance educational frameworks through research.
