In line with the institution’s thrust to fully-equip students in healthcare work, Foundation University College of Nursing recently launched the first series of Wednesday Workshops last July.

Dubbed as “ConveRgeNce,” the college has prepared various learning sessions featuring different invited speakers who have the capacity to share their knowledge on the said specific topics. This is in lieu of the regular learning opportunities held in the classroom setting. Various topics will be tackled every Wednesday until March 2020.

Last July 18, Dr. Chanell Jan Concepcion shared to the students her expertise on Qualitative Research with focus on Phenomenology. This was followed by the lecture on Occupational Health Nursing by FUCN alumnus, Llopold Ceazar V. Geconcillo held last July 24. Then, Unito Bondad focused his talk on Infection Control.

The Wednesday Workshops are geared towards preparing the students nurses for the real world of work in the aspect of healthcare. The inputs given are meant for the students to acquire skills that are helpful and custom-fit for today’s work demands.
