The incoming leaders of Foundation University Student Government (FUSG) recently attended the 7th Youthlead Transformative Approaches to Innovative Leadership (TRAIL) Summer Camp held from April 24 to 28 at Bohol Plaza Resort, Panglao Island, Bohol.

Incoming FUSG President Xydric M. Gonzales (BS Industrial Engineering V), Kenneth John Baliquig (BS Management Accounting I) and Eiichi Ezaki (BS Entrepreneurship I) joined the 543 youth leaders from 107 delegations across the country for TRAIL Camp, organized by Youthlead Philippines in partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Network.

The said summer camp was aimed at influencing and empowering the youth and adult leaders to think, work and act together and make them active stakeholders in the advocacy and localization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Moreover, the camp also was geared towards equipping the youth and adult leaders with the right skills and values to make their leadership more meaningful and dynamic using transformative approaches.

Foundation University’s delegation was led by the current adviser of the student government, Wilson D. Cadalso, Jr. – an instructor from the College of Agriculture.

Strengthening the student government is essential to the enrichment of campus life at Foundation University. The leadership and training experience acquired from the student government will further inspire and hone the skills of young people to take on leadership posts in the academic, business sector, politics, governance and other sectors.
