As a partner university of the American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural Programs in the Philippines, Foundation University now hosts an exchange student from Denmark up until the end of December.

Magnus Sigaard expressed his interest to enroll with the Broadcast Communication program under the College of Arts and Sciences. At the same time, he will do collaborative work with the College of Business Administration in order to develop a system for data and information sharing.

Sigaard, after graduating from senior high school in Denmark, embarked on a one-year work journey with Intel in Munich, Germany as part of the Quality Assurance Department.

As part of the program goals, he will also take up important subjects such as Filipino and Philippine History. After this exchange term, Sigaard plans to pursue his university studies in Copenhagen, Denmark by next school year.

American Field Service aims to develop active global citizens who are committed and willing enough to effect positive difference in their assigned foster community.

Furthermore, the study abroad program of AFS is geared towards empowering individuals across ages and backgrounds with intercultural knowledge, skills and understanding.
