In the aim to respond to the demands of the healthcare industry, Foundation University through its College of Nursing and the Technical Vocational Department, is set to offer the Diploma Program in Health Services Technology by June of the academic year 2018 – 2019.


For the record, FU is the first higher education institution in the country to offer this three year diploma program on which the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is embedded on Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 15 series of 2017.


The diploma program consists basically of the first three years of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and the additional gains of acquiring the National Certificate II in the following competencies: Wellness Massage, Barangay Health Services, Pharmacy Services, Health Care Services, Caregiving.


After completing the diploma program, there is an option to exit and be gainfully employed or to continue for one more year of studies in order to acquire the BSN degree.


Foundation University’s commitment to the inception of relevant programs and production of employment-ready and competitive graduates is shown through this movement being the pioneer higher education institution to offer the diploma in health service technology – in response to the demands of today’s healthcare industry of this country and abroad.
