Close to a thousand graduates from the senior high school to post-graduate level are set to be conferred their respective academic degrees during the Commencement Exercises to be held in the afternoon of March 17 at the FU Green.

The University has opted to hold a joint commencement program in order to highlight the graduation of the first batch of senior high school students. Meanwhile, this is also the debut of the FU “sablay” in place of the western caps and toga to be worn by graduates from the undergraduate to post-graduate levels.

Meanwhile, to address the graduating class is the Managing Director and Board of Trustees Member of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation (formerly known as ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.) – the socio civic arm of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network.

Susan Bautista-Afan was named in 2015 by the Filipina Women’s Network in the United States as one of the most influential Filipinas around the globe.

Formerly, she worked with Robert Half International based in Southern California as one of the District Presidents apart from other key leadership positions she held in the said international recruitment company.

Currently, she also serves as the co-anchor of Kapamilya Konek, a family-oriented radio program aimed at reconnecting families and providing opportunities for learning in the aspects of parenting, livelihood and financial literacy.

Afan completed her communication degree from Ateneo de Manila in 1980.
