To celebrate the craft and artistry of fine arts majors at Foundation University, an art exhibition was opened to the public last October 2 at the Main Atrium of Robinsons Place Dumaguete.
The annual Project Uno features paintings and sketches of students enrolled at the fine arts program of FU College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of Architecture and Fine Arts.
Added to this year’s exhibit is FU Resident Artist Hersley Ven Casero’s work entitled “The Sky, The Sea and in Between,” which utilizes denim as the main material of the artwork. This current project carries deep messages of caring for the environment and as well as the effects of foreign cultural influence as symbolized by denim.
FU President Victor Vicente “Dean” G. Sinco and City Tourism Officer Jacqueline Veloso-Antonio led the ribbon cutting ceremony along with Arts and Sciences Dean Mick Ian Cornelia, FPA Superintendent Dr. Mira Sinco, and Robinsons Place Dumaguete Marketing Communications Officer Ria Manilyn Frances Malinao.
Project Uno will run until October 7.
